The hotel was very comfortable and clean, offering a pleasant stay within walking distance to the beach. The rooms were well-equipped with large and comfy beds, a table for dining, and additional amenities like a microwave and mini fridge. However, the experience was slightly tainted by the smell of marijuana smoke from neighboring guests.
I absolutely loved staying at MacKinaw Bay and Beach! The rooms were super cute and felt like a cozy beach cottage, especially the ones right on the beach. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and accommodating staff that really made my stay special. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from downtown and right in front of the beach. The dining experience could use a little more variety, but the overall facilities were great.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms that felt like beach cottages and the convenience of being within walking distance to the beach. The service was excellent, with thoughtful staff who provided helpful information and even offered an upgrade. The location, right next to Lake Huron and the beach, was simply breathtaking, although there were some cleanliness issues that popped up. The dining options, while limited to rasin bran muffins and coffee, weren't ideal, but the facilities overall were satisfactory.
